Updated - December Family Newsletter
Oops!
I made a mistake on the first newsletter that went out. This one now includes a sign-up link for family baking. Hopefully, that is my only mistake! Sorry for any inconvenience.

Graham Cracker Houses
We are going to make graham cracker houses again this year! These should be ready to pick up the first full week of December but we are still waiting on a couple of items to arrive. We will send out an email when you can pick up your kit. Each kit will contain a box of graham crackers, a tub of frosting, and assorted candy to decorate your creation!
Art with Holly!
This month we will be working with chalk pastels! Join Holly on 12/28 at 4pm via Zoom for another awesome art tutorial! The first 15 families that pick up an Art-with-Holly kit also get to take home a free book! We would love to have you join us on Zoom but there will also be instructions included in the kit so you can complete it on your own time.

December Reads for January Book Clubs
Book club for kids will meet on 12/1 at our new time of 4pm. We will be discussing The Doughnut Kingdom. Our next book is Pax by Sarah Pennypacker. We will discuss Pax on 1/5/2022 at 4pm. Here is a little more about the book:
Pax and Peter have been inseparable ever since Peter rescued him as a kit. But one day, the unimaginable happens: Peter's dad enlists in the military and makes him return the fox to the wild.
At his grandfather's house, three hundred miles away from home, Peter knows he isn't where he should be—with Pax. He strikes out on his own despite the encroaching war, spurred by love, loyalty, and grief, to be reunited with his fox.
Meanwhile Pax, steadfastly waiting for his boy, embarks on adventures and discoveries of his own.
Our Middle School Book Club meets on 12/8 at 3:30pm. We will be discussing Endling: The Last. Our next book is Bloom by Kenneth Oppel. We will discuss Bloom on 1/12/2022 at 3:30pm. Here is a little more about the book:
The invasion begins--but not as you'd expect. It begins with rain. Rain that carries seeds. Seeds that sprout--overnight, everywhere. These new plants take over crop fields, twine up houses, and burrow below streets. They bloom--and release toxic pollens. They bloom--and form Venus flytrap-like pods that swallow animals and people. They bloom--everywhere, unstoppable.
Or are they? Three kids on a remote island seem immune to the toxic plants. Anaya, Petra, Seth. They each have strange allergies--and yet not to these plants. What's their secret? Can they somehow be the key to beating back this invasion? They'd better figure it out fast, because it's starting to rain again....
