Teen Programs & Events
Here are the updated Teen Programs for the School Year!
We have Teen Events on Fridays. Read below to learn more about what you can expect each month.
There is NO Teen Library Council this month and NO Teen Tabletop on December 5th.
Friday Evening Events from 6pm-8pm
Teen Game Night - 2nd Friday of the Month, December 12th

Teen Game Night is a fun time to hang with friends! We will set up our Nintendo Switch, pull out all our board games, get out snacks and treats, and have some fun. This event is after hours so we can make noise, play games, and eat our snacks without disturbing the rest of the library.
You must be between the ages of 12 and 19 to join us for this event.
Teen Tabletop - Every 1st and 3rd Friday, Canceled December 5th, on for December19th

Tabletop RPGs for teens. Play classic games like D&D with some modern boardgames sprinkled in for good measure. Please contact Lindsey to join a group!
Teen Library Council - Canceled December 26th
Every LAST Friday from 4:30pm-5:30pm. We are still looking for awesome high schoolers (ages 14-18) to fill out our Teen Library Council. The council meets once a month to help plan activities for young adults at our library. Each of these meetings counts as volunteer hours and looks great on a resume!
Middle Grade Book Club
Contact Lindsey:
Middle Grade Book Club (ages 10-13) meets the first Tuesday of every month at 4pm and goes for about 45 minutes. It always includes a simple activity relating to the story.
We will meet at the library on 12/2 at 4pm to chat about "A Rover's Story".
Our next book is "The Real Boy" by Anne Ursu! We will talk about this fantastic fantasy on 1/6.

On an island on the edge of an immense sea there is a city, a forest, and a boy named Oscar. Oscar is a shop boy for the most powerful magician in the village, and spends his days in a small room in the dark cellar of his master's shop grinding herbs and dreaming of the wizards who once lived on the island generations ago. Oscar's world is small, but he likes it that way. The real world is vast, strange, and unpredictable. And Oscar does not quite fit in it.
But now that world is changing. Children in the city are falling ill, and something sinister lurks in the forest. Oscar has long been content to stay in his small room in the cellar, comforted in the knowledge that the magic that flows from the forest will keep his island safe. Now even magic may not be enough to save it.
