Adult Programs & Events
Summer Reading Programs Start June 9th
Both our adult and youth summer reading programs begin on June 9th! This year, the theme is "Level Up at Your Library," so we are bringing back our reading challenge gameboard. However, this year, you get to pick a reading type that lines up with one of five fantasy-game roles. Do you read like a fighter, wizard, cleric, bard, or rogue? Find out which class fits you best and take on that unique reading challenge! Adult sign-ups begin in June and the program runs until the end of August. Youth can sign up for their SRP right now!

Author Talk: Eric Alan on Gratitude - Wednesday, 8/13, 6:30pm
To live gratefully in challenging times is more essential than ever. It’s a return to remembrance of the sheer miracle of being alive, through a return to connection to nature—including the very nature of ourselves. Join author, photographer, and workshop leader Eric Alan at the Creswell Library on Wednesday, August 13th at 6:30 p.m., as he brings stories and images from his new book Grateful by Nature, which explores gratitude as an active daily practice. He will also include offerings from his previous three books, including Wild Grace: Nature as a Spiritual Path, its sequel Grace and Tranquility, and This is Our Time!, his co-written book on the 2010 San Francisco Giants World Series Championship team.

Blood Drive in the Creswell Library parking lot 7/21 from noon to 6pm
Make your apointment here.
This July, embrace the spirit of summer living, summer giving by rolling up your sleeve to donate blood. In less than an hour, you can help make this summer unforgettable for someone in need of transfusions. There’s no easier way to make a real difference in our community.
Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood. But during summer months, donations drop. Vacations, busy schedules, and heat waves can keep regular donors away, coupled with an increase in traumas this time of year, putting the stability of our blood supply at risk.
Blood can’t be manufactured. It can only come from generous people like you taking an hour out of their
summer activities to save a life. Your donation with Bloodworks goes to help accident victims, cancer
patients, or those undergoing surgery in 95% of Pacific Northwest hospitals. Right now, your donation
matters more than ever for our friends, family, and neighbors.
Be the reason someone gets to enjoy another summer. Sign up for your blood donation today July 21 st
at the Creswell Library and give the gift only you can give.
