Author Visit - Aaron Donnelly - Monday, October 14th at 6:00pm

A smiling bald man with a beard in a plaid shirt against a cloudy sky.

Aaron Donley is the author of the novels The Starlight Inn and Jane and the Boy Wonder, which explore themes of life's purpose, curiosity, dark humor, and living an authentic life. Aaron has also written two illustrated humor books with endorsements from SNL writer Jack Handey, New Yorker cartoonist Matt Diffee, and Simpson’s Showrunner Josh Weinstein. His podcast, "Think Funny" covers strange and humorous events in world history.

Aaron’s latest novel, Jane and the Boy Wonder, is a work of historical fiction which takes place largely around a fictional town in Oregon based on Creswell, which is where Aaron lives with his wife Jenni and their dog Rags.  The novel covers the relationship between a spinster schoolteacher in the 1930’s and a boy prodigy she uses to write bestselling novels for her own fame and fortune.  Along the way they get mixed up in a number of fascinating but little-known events which have affected our modern world today.  To view a short film based on the first pages of the novel (also shot in Creswell, and staring Aaron’s wife Jenni) please visit aarondonley.com.
