Book Sale - May 8th through May 20th

The Friends of the Creswell Library will be hosting a book sale starting May 8th and ending May 20th. Swing by and pick up softcover books for $1 and hardcover for $2. Plus movies, puzzles, and games!

New Adult Book Club May 9th at 5:00pm in-person and via Zoom

This book club is geared toward new adults (18-24), but all adults are welcome! This month we will be chatting about the first 11 chapters of American Gods by Neil Gaiman. Literary Art: Altered Books – May 17th at 5:30pm

An art group for adults. We started two months ago by creating pockets and secret hiding places in old books. Last month we continued that work and shared the art created in our books. We had beautiful collages, watercolor art, pressed flowers, and even art created by tea bag stains! We also learned how to fold books into words. We will have the supplies to continue altered book art but any kind of art is welcome. This is a relaxed space with lots of jokes and talking while we share art and stories. 

Step It Up Walking Group - Update

OHSU has extended the deadline to sign up for our walking program to Tuesday, May 16th. We still have a handful of spots left in the program too. Join our walking group and research study in partnership with OHSU.  We will be walking together once a week, Fridays at 12:30pm. This program is for people who aren't exercising yet. The walks will start out lasting about 20 minutes but we will work our way up to 45 minutes plus. OHSU will be coming down to conduct their baseline assessment on May 16th so make sure you are signed up before then. Contact nick@creswell-library.org or at 541-895-3053 to learn more and sign up!

Coffee and Books - Tuesdays at 11:00am

Join us every Tuesday morning at 11am for coffee and books at our book club. No need to stress about finding the book club book and staying on pace with everyone else. Read what you want at your own speed and share with us when you are ready. Everyone who comes talks about the books they are reading or have recently finished. No pressure to share if you just want to join us to get ideas about new books to read.
