Each month, come play cooperative and competitive board games! This is the perfect time to bring some friends and make new ones. There will be plenty of new games to choose from, but you can always bring your favorites from home. Plus, we will have a D&D table (ages 8 and up). There is a limit to the number of kids who can do D&D, so kids who have signed up beforehand and are consistent will be reserved a spot.
2/13 at 3:30pm - LEGO Club

Join us for LEGO building awesomeness! Each child who completes a project will get to put it on display in the library until the next LEGO Club.
2/20 at 3:30pm – OBOB Practice Battles

OBOB stands for Oregon Battle of the Books and is a competition in which students have to read a set list of books, and then "battle" each other by answering questions about the books.
I have already reached out to Creslane Coaches to ask if they want to participate, but if you have an official OBOB team registered through another Creswell school, please let Lindsey know!
If you do not have a kid who is doing OBOB, you are welcome to come and cheer on the teams! We will also have table activities For more information about OBOB, go to https://www.oregonbattleofthebooks.org/.
2/27at 3:30pm – Friendship Bracelets
Make a bracelet for you or a friend! We will have pony beads and clay beads so you can express yourself.

PreK Storytime - Thursdays at 10:00am in the Creswell Library
Join us for fun books, songs, and rhymes!! This storytime is intended for children in preschool but all kids and their families are welcome to join. We shoot for about 30 minutes of fun but sometimes we go a little long and sometimes just a tad short. Afterward, we will all do a fun craft.
Babytime – Tuesdays at 10:00am in the Creswell Library
Join us on Tuesdays for songs, fingerplays, lap bounces, scarves, egg shakers, stories, and bubbles! This storytime is 20 minutes long so we can wrap up before the littlest get too squirmy.
January Reads for February Book Club

Middle-Grade Book Club
Middle Grade Book Club (ages 10-13) meets the first Tuesday of every month at 4pm and goes for about 45 minutes. It always includes a simple activity relating to the story.
We will meet at the library on 2/6 at 4pm to chat about "Starfish" by Lisa Fipps.
Our next book is "The Girl Who Drank the Moon" by Kelly Barnhill. We will talk about this rich fantasy novel on 3/4 at 4:00pm. Here is a quick blurb about this book from the publisher.

Every year, the people of the Protectorate leave a baby as an offering to the witch who lives in the forest. They hope this sacrifice will keep her from terrorizing their town. But the witch in the Forest, Xan, is kind. She shares her home with a wise Swamp Monster and a Perfectly Tiny Dragon. Xan rescues the children and delivers them to welcoming families on the other side of the forest, nourishing the babies with starlight on the journey.
One year, Xan accidentally feeds a baby moonlight instead of starlight, filling the ordinary child with extraordinary magic. Xan decides she must raise this girl, whom she calls Luna, as her own. As Luna’s thirteenth birthday approaches, her magic begins to emerge--with dangerous consequences. Meanwhile, a young man from the Protectorate is determined to free his people by killing the witch. Deadly birds with uncertain intentions flock nearby. A volcano, quiet for centuries, rumbles just beneath the earth’s surface. And the woman with the Tiger’s heart is on the prowl . . .
