Fizzing Heart Art – Pick up starting 2/1

Our take-home kit for February is a fun combination and science and art. We will use watercolor paper to cut out shapes, we suggest a heart but anything is fine, then sprinkle our shapes with baking soda. After that, we will use pipettes to drop dyed vinegar on our shapes causing fizzing bursts of color! These kits will be ready to pick up on February 1st. You will need to provide your own vinegar for this craft.

This month we will be making Cuban Cave Frogs. These fun frogs are covered in a variety of patterns. In your kit you will get everything you need to complete the craft. This includes instructions, paper, watercolors, and a paintbrush. Join us on Zoom on the 22nd at 4pm where Holly will take us through Cuban Cave Frogs one step at a time or complete the project on your own! You can pick up your kits starting on the 15th. We will send out a reminder and include the Zoom information then.

Each family that signs up will get a copy of a Frog and Toad book!

Coconut Cookies Family Baking – Zoom meeting on 2/11, Sign up required

This month we will be making coconut cookies. They are PACKED with coconut and are sweet and chewy. Sign up and get all the specialized ingredients that you need to bake these tasty treats. You can sign up and join us on Zoom where we will make the cookies together or you can sign up and get the ingredients and recipe for you to use on your own time. The Zoom meeting will be Friday, 2/11, at 5pm. Hope to see you in the kitchen! Sign-ups for this event will close on Monday 2/7.

February Reads for March Book Clubs

Our Book Club for kids will meet to chat about our February book, Because of Mr. Terupt, on 2/2 at 4pm. Our next book is Murder is Bad Manners by Robin Stevens and our March meeting to discuss it will be on 3/2 at 4pm. Here is a little more from the publisher about our new book.
