Adult Summer Reading 2025

What is an Adult SRP?

Adult SRP is the adult version of our annual Summer Reading Program for kids and teens. However, our adult version has some differences.  We won’t be asking you to track your reading hours. Instead, we have 5 unique reading challenges based around iconic fantasy game roles.

I don’t live in Creswell, can I join?

Of course! You do need to enter the library to turn in your Game Board so it would be hard to join in from Texas, Wyoming, or Vermont.

What are the dates?

You can pick up your Game Board and start logging books on Monday, June 9th (same as the kids). Please don’t count any books you finished before the 9th. You can earn and turn in tickets until August 31st.

I don’t want to/or can’t complete the non-reading prompts, how do I participate?

We aren’t going to be sticklers for the rules here. If the prompt is “Go for a hike” you can read a book about hiking instead. Heck, you can read a book for each square. It is a reading program after all!

How do I claim prizes?

This year our prizes are all raffle-based. Each time you make it to a red spot on the game board, you’ve earned a raffle ticket! Come into the library and show the front desk your game board to get and fill out your ticket. Each week, we will pick several winning tickets. The winners will get to pick any one prize from our adult prizes (hands off the kids prizes!).

Why are we doing all these non book activities?

As a library, we offer a lot more than just books. We wanted our Summer Reading Program to reflect that. We also wanted to encourage you to interact with the world around you, check in with your support network, and to try new things! So go visit a river, play a game, do an art project with us at the library, and take a moment to go for a walk.

What do I do now?

Is it past June 9th?

Yes — Read a book and log it on your Game Board.

No –  Read a book and don’t log it on your Game Board.
