What's new in November?

A serene autumn landscape with vibrant orange and yellow leaves scattered on the ground and soft sunlight filtering through.

The library will be closed on November 26th. Wishing you a peaceful day filled with good food and company!

Thursdays for Kids

We have three events for kids this month!

11/5 at 3:30pm - Tea Light Turkeys

A craft project featuring a jar decorated as a turkey with colorful handprint feathers and googly eyes. Perfect for Thanksgiving!

As the days get shorter, it's nice to have some warm light! Join us for a festive crafting session where we will be making adorable Tea Light Turkeys (battery-operated tea light included!)

11/12 at 3:30pm - LEGO Club

A bright banner for a LEGO club meeting every 2nd Thursday for ages 5-12, at 3:30 pm with colorful brick background.

Join us for LEGO building awesomeness! Each child who completes a project will get to put it on display in the library until the next LEGO Club.

11/19 at 3:30pm - Full Steam Ahead! - Ozobots

The image shows three small robotic devices on a colorful grid made with markers, used for coding and educational activities.

Ozobots are back! Solve puzzles by coding with these pocket-sized robots. Use color markers to draw paths, use secret moves, and decode every challenge. Ready to test your problem-solving skills?

PreK Storytime  – Thursdays at 10:00am

Join us for fun books, songs, and rhymes!! This storytime is intended for children in preschool, but all kids and their families are welcome to join. We shoot for about 30 minutes of fun, but sometimes we go a little long and sometimes just a tad short. Afterward, we will all do a fun craft.

Babytime  – Tuesdays at 10:00am

Join us on Tuesdays for songs, fingerplays, lap bounces, scarves, egg shakers, stories, and bubbles! This storytime is 20 minutes long so we can wrap up before the littles get too squirmy.

Book Club

Middle School Book Club

Middle School Book Club (6th-8th Grade) meets on the first Tuesday of every month at 4pm and goes for about 45 minutes.

Our November book club date is scheduled for 11/3, when we will be discussing Wildwood.

Our next book is The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle by Avi. We will meet at 4pm on 12/1 to chat about this swashbuckling adventure.

Read more about this book here:

The image features the book cover for "The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle" by Avi, showing a girl on a ship.

Thirteen-year-old Charlotte Doyle is excited to return home from her school in England to her family in Rhode Island in the summer of 1832.

But when the two families she was supposed to travel with mysteriously cancel their trips, Charlotte finds herself the lone passenger on a long sea voyage with a cruel captain and a mutinous crew. Worse yet, soon after stepping aboard the ship, she becomes enmeshed in a conflict between them! What begins as an eagerly anticipated ocean crossing turns into a harrowing journey, where Charlotte gains a villainous enemy... and is put on trial for murder!
