Teen Update - April

Game Night is Back!

The shape of a game controller with the words Game Night

Game Night returns this month. April 29th from 6-8pm. We will have our Nintendo Switch set up, boardgames, and snacks.

Teen Tabletop

May contain: person, human, and game

Teen Tabletop will stay virtual for one more month while we work to combine our two virtual groups. Starting in May, Teen Tabletop will be back in person and will be every 2nd and 3rd Friday of the month from 6-8pm. Teen Tabletop is a space for any kind of tabletop gaming but the library runs one D&D group. We will be offering a way to join virtually if that is easier for you. Please send an email to nick@creswell-library.org before the event to get set up with a virtual connection.

Teen Volunteers

We need teen volunteers to support our Summer Reading Program. If you have time to volunteer for an hour and a half, around midday, during the summer please send an email to nick@creswell-library.org to get started.

Teen Book Club

May contain: person, human, and text

We will be reading The Cousins by Karen McManus. We will meet to chat about Cousins on May 3rd at 6pm. Send Nick and email to join at nick@creswell-library.org. Here is a bit more about the book from the publisher.

"Milly, Aubrey, and Jonah Story are cousins, but they barely know each another, and they've never even met their grandmother. Rich and reclusive, she disinherited their parents before they were born. So when they each receive a letter inviting them to work at her island resort for the summer, they're surprised . . . and curious.
Their parents are all clear on one point--not going is not an option. This could be the opportunity to get back into Grandmother's good graces. But when the cousins arrive on the island, it's immediately clear that she has different plans for them. And the longer they stay, the more they realize how mysterious--and dark--their family's past is.
The entire Story family has secrets. Whatever pulled them apart years ago isn't over--and this summer, the cousins will learn everything."
