Adult Summer Reading

Do you ever see the kids gleefully turning in their reading journals at the library? Do you see them cradling their awesome prizes as they head home with their next great read in hand? Well, adults, now you can too! Sign up for adult SRP and get a free book for signing up. Grab yourself a Bingo card from the front desk at the library and start playing! Each completed Bingo will get you a prize from our (mostly) literary-themed prize table. We've got bags, mugs, books, tea, and jewelry!

Su Liudahl's Belated Retirement Party! - July 22nd Open House 2-4pm

We are very late to this retirement party but by gosh we aren't going to let it be forgotten! We will be celebrating the more than 15 years that Su worked at the Creswell Library. Su served the community so well for so long and now we are delighted to invite any and all that would like to say thanks for her hard work. Please join us to celebrate Su, all the work she did for the Creswell community, and to wish her well on her next journey!

Literary Art: Altered Books – July 19th at 5:30pm

This month's special project is learning to fold paper flowers!

An art group for adults. We started several months ago by creating pockets and secret hiding places in old books. Last month we continued that work and shared the art created in our books. We had beautiful collages, watercolor art, pressed flowers, and even art created with tea bag stains! We also learned how to fold books into words. We will have the supplies to continue altered book art but any kind of art is welcome. This is a relaxed space with lots of jokes and talking while we share art and stories.

May contain: cutlery, spoon, and cup

Coffee and Books - Tuesdays at 11:00am

Join us every Tuesday morning at 11am for coffee and books at our book club. No need to stress about finding the book club book and staying on pace with everyone else. Read what you want at your own speed and share with us when you are ready. Everyone who comes talks about the books they are reading or have recently finished. No pressure to share if you just want to join us to get ideas about new books to read.
