Summer Reading Programs are ongoing!
This year, the theme is "Level Up at Your Library," so we are bringing back our reading challenge gameboard. However, this year, you get to pick a reading type that lines up with one of five fantasy-game roles. Do you read like a fighter, wizard, cleric, bard, or rogue? Find out which class fits you best and take on that unique reading challenge! Will accept both adult and youth reading journals until 8/30.
Author Visit: Eric Alan - Wednesday, 8/13, at 6:30pm

To live gratefully in challenging times is more essential than ever. It’s a return to remembrance of the sheer miracle of being alive, through a return to connection to nature—including the very nature of ourselves. Join author, photographer, and workshop leader Eric Alan at the Creswell Library on Wednesday, August 13th at 6:30 p.m., as he brings stories and images from his new book Grateful by Nature, which explores gratitude as an active daily practice. He will also include offerings from his previous three books, including Wild Grace: Nature as a Spiritual Path, its sequel Grace and Tranquility, and This is Our Time!, his co-written book on the 2010 San Francisco Giants World Series Championship team.

Walking Group - Fridays at 9:30am
Did you know that the library has been working with OHSU for two years on a walking group study? During the study the group wasn't open to the public but the study is done and we can now welcome everyone at our walking group! Join a cheerful group of walkers for Friday morning strolls. Each walk is usually under an hour and over flat land. Sometimes we go a little long, but more often we go a little short. Typically, our walks start at one of three locations: the library and the surrounding neighborhoods, Tractor Supply parking lot over to and through Garden Lake Park, and Lynx Hollow Park and the beautiful paths there. Email Nick to get on the group email list and learn the location of the next walk and any weather-related or other location changes.
